"Flat Earthers" are alive and well

I find it hard to believe this isn't just an elaborate troll on the part of rap artist and pop star B.o.B. but apparently it's the honest truth: he genuinely thinks that the Earth is flat, and we are all just being fooled by a shadowy cabal of… well, I don't know. Good question.

First of all, B.o.B. has enough money to literally fly around the entire planet and see for himself that it is round. Second of all, Neil DeGrasse Tyson has taken to Twitter to school the rapper, to no avail.

In fact, the curvature of the Earth is quite easily visible. In one of the pictures B.o.B. posted, Tyson pointed out that it is showing the correct curvature, it's just that most of the buildings in downtown Manhattan are taller than the curvature will block from B.o.B.'s location at the time of the photo.

What I find particularly curious is, how is this supposedly being kept a secret? And why? To what end? Who benefits from "tricking" people into thinking the planet is round? Why has no one ever seen the edge and come back to tell the tale? There are a lot of people on the planet, and surely you couldn't keep them all from squealing.

This puts the phrase "massive conspiratorial cover-up" to shame. I can't even begin to fathom what it would take to hide a "secret" like this. It makes the Hollow Earth theory seem frankly sensible by comparison.
