Radio Signals From Deep Space

What do you think their source might be?

By now, you've probably already heard about the mysterious radio signals coming from deep space. The 13 signals, which originated from a totally different galaxy, were picked up by a Canadian telescope. The fast radio bursts are thought by many scientists to be caused by some sort of magnetic field or neutron stars emerging, but there are plenty of people who also postulate that the signals could be coming from an alien race. Indeed, that is the scenario that makes the phenomena the most exciting.

In other weird news this week, a woman is said to have a rare medical condition in which she cannot hear men's voices, only women's. While many are joking that it would be great to have this affliction to be unable to hear low sounds, the poor woman can't even hear the voice of her boyfriend, let alone her favorite male singers or TV shows. It's so sad to hear about and such an extraordinary condition.

What other weird stories have you read about this week?
