As I mentioned last week, my parents bought us an air fryer for Christmas this year and we love playing with this thing. We made meatballs last weekend and they were delicious. This week I got a new recipe book from the library to try. It's called The I Love My Air Fryer Keto Diet Recipe Book, which sounds like a mouthful, but the recipes themselves are quite good so far.
Black gardens are all the rage right now, and why wouldn't they be? They are incredibly stunning. There are entire groups created with a focus on "gothic gardening," and I know I've been bitten by the desire for more dark plants around my home.
One of my biggest goals for the year is to reduce my eco footprint, and I sure would like to use fewer trees. I had no idea there were so many tree-free products out there. My family uses recycled content as much as possible, but I just saw an ad for these Seedling paper towels, which is made from bamboo, and it has me really curious. It's a little pricey for me, but when you consider the cost against the cost of losing trees... it's hard to argue.
Good drinkers, I'm still feeling so conflicted about which milk to purchase. I like my milk nut-based and as close to sugar-free as possible (I also like coconut milk), but as we've discussed before, my almond milk infatuation just isn't good for the planet. I'm still trying to find the most eco-friendly milk on the market.
As more of us worry about the environment around us, we're turning to more eco-friendly options every day. While the reason behind it is still quite scary, I'm so excited to see so many people work to try and improve the world, even if some of the methods are a little... freaky.
80s fans, something exciting is happening in my life. My teen is writing a comic series based in the 1980s! It's filled with mythology and culture, and my kid's doing a bunch of 80s research to make it as authentic as possible. Blame it on Back to the Future, Stranger Things and--oh yeah, the parents!--but this kid loves the 80s.
