Weird Fish-Prawn Hybrid Discovered

It’s a photo that you just can’t forget. In Australia, a fish-prawn hybrid has been discovered, making fishermen shake in their boots. It turns out that the animal was actually an armored sea robin, a rare fish that lives in deep tropical waters. Between its stiff rays, scuttling feet and horns, the bottom-dwelling fish is definitely not something you see every day. It’s no wonder fisherman thought they’d stumbled upon some kind of sea dragon monster!

What’s the weirdest fish you’ve ever stumbled across? Do you have any photos to share?

Elves drive big construction project in Iceland

Their special rock had to be unearthed

Elves are a big thing in Iceland, and many public construction projects have been undone or re-routed due to their demands. Elves are extremely attached to their large enchanted rocks, and if humans move or destroy these rocks, their ire can be legendary.

So it was with a recent construction project in Iceland. In the course of the project, a large boulder which had been identified as an enchanted elfin rock was toppled from the edge of a cliff and buried in a small landslide. The construction crew left it there, but they soon wish they hadn't.

After the elves' rock was buried, the construction project was plagued with delays, mechanical problems, workplace injuries, and other woes. The Icelandic government determined that the problems were being caused by elfin sabotage, and ordered that the rock be restored.

The boulder, called an "elfin lady stone," was returned to its original location and given a good cleaning with a pressure washer. Problems at the site have since disappeared.

Eagles Take on Terrorists

This is some seriously LOTR stuff right here.

This idea from France is either brilliant, sadistic or perhaps the perfect storm of both: the country has bred four eagles with the express interest of destroying drones. Not only did the golden eaglets encounter drones as the first thing they ever saw in the world as they hatched atop them, but they’ve been chasing drones for meat rewards (served atop drones) ever since.

The birds can attack a drone from 200 meters in 20 seconds so far, an impressive feat for anyone. The government is adapting the sport of falconry to the extreme as they send forth this quartet of quasi-suicide bombers into war.

Do you think this idea will pan out for the military, and if so, is it worth doing?

Witches across the world urged to cast a spell against Trump

Binding spell on every crescent moon may get him out of office

Witches worldwide are rallying against Donald Trump. The plan: Cast a binding spell against Trump every month until he leaves office.

A binding spell is not, as practitioners will quickly inform you, intended to harm the recipient. It is intended to reduce the target's ability to harm others, and in that sense is a type of self-defense.

The spell must be cast at midnight on the first night of the waning moon. For North America, this will happen this Friday night. The next three nights will be on March 26th, April 24th, and May 23rd.

To cast the spell, you will need:

Unflattering photo of Trump (small)
Tower tarot card (from any deck)
Tiny stub of an orange candle (cheap via Amazon)
Pin or small nail (to inscribe candle)
White candle (any size), representing the element of Fire
Small bowl of water, representing elemental Water
Small bowl of salt, representing elemental Earth
Feather (any), representing the element of Air
Matches or lighter
Ashtray or dish of sand

For more information on the ritual, and to read the full incantation which must be recited, visit the original post on ExtraNewsFeed.

Freaky New Trump Troll Doll

Plenty of artists have taken the time to address Donald Trump’s despicable nature, from political cartoons to colorful protest signs of Trump and Pence making out. Chuck Williams, 56-year-old artist, has now designed the freakiest piece of Trump art yet: a naked Trump troll complete with an Android phone for late-night Twitter sessions with Alec Baldwin and Rosie O’Donnell.

Be warned before you click to see the troll, as it does feature some anatomical features that make it unsafe for work. You can preorder one at Kickstarter but keep in mind that this thing does look pretty freaky, so if you have nightmares remember you were warned!

What is your favorite way that artists have depicted Trump so far? Share photos in the comments.

Town urges Spanish mayor to call in exorcist

Town Hall is haunted!

One recent night a town councillor was working late at the town hall of Vegas de Genil, a small town outside Grenada, Spain. His office suddenly turned chilly, then he heard a strange rustling sound out in the hall, like papers being shuffled or dragged across the floor.

Fearing burglars, the councillor pulled out his phone and snapped a picture of the hallway. He retreated to his office to examine the picture. At first, he thought the hallway was empty. Then he spotted the figure of a small ghostly child.

The photograph is truly remarkable. If it's a fake, it's a good one. It would help to have a well-lit photograph of the same hallway, for comparison, but it clearly seems to show a small child with long dark hair wearing a white shift, in a somewhat crouched position. She seems to be wearing a white beret or bonnet.

The councillor immediately locked his office and texted the photo to the WhatsApp group of other town councillors. Another councillor, seeing the photo, drove to the town hall and rescued the terrified man.

The incident has driven the town and the town's government officials into a bit of a panic. But this panic has not touched the mayor, Leandro Martin, who has brushed off complaints as a "collective psychosis."

The mayor has so far refused the request to allocate public funds for an exorcism of the town hall, stating that his priorities lie with the living townspeople, some of whom are without electricity.

Will Vegas de Genil be able to find a priest willing to bless the town hall for free? One of the town councillors has already asked a Reiki practitioner to perform a cleansing. But will that be enough?

Over 400 Whales Stranded on Beach

Why would whales do such a thing?

Yesterday, 416 pilot whales washed up on the shores of New Zealand to die. Today rescuers fought to save the lives of the remaining 100 whales after more than three quarters of the animals died, but the struggle was even more difficult given that the whales did not seem to want to return to the water if it meant leaving their pod mates behind.

Unfortunately even more whales came ashore on the remote beach. A completely different pod of 240 whales swam ashore, further puzzling rescuers and scientists alike. Although some explanations have been presented for mass whales engaging in this behavior, the reality is that we still don’t know why they’re doing this. With smaller groups, scientists guess that they may beach themselves while striving to save one beached whale, or that they may get caught in shallow water from dangerous currents while chasing prey, but no explanation has been found for this incident as of yet.

Why do you think whales would swim ashore, resulting in their death?

The Mandela Effect

Are we from different parallel universes?

Theoretical physics tells us that we are almost certainly living in just one of many - perhaps infinite - parallel universes. Perhaps in one, Hitler died of cholera as a baby. Perhaps in another one, Hitler won the war.

According to evidence collected by internet sleuths, we may be living in a merged universe. It seems that whole groups of people remember the past differently. Could it be that they (or we) are from a parallel universe? Perhaps this is evidence that time travelers have - however subtly - been altering our timeline.

This theory is dubbed the "Mandela Effect" after the person who first identified it. Paranormal consultant Fiona Broome clearly remembered when Nelson Mandela died in prison in the 80s, including the elaborate state funeral which was thrown for him. One problem: Mandela did not die in prison in the 80s, he was released and lived until December 2013.

However, Broome has found many other people who remember the exact same thing she did. She began investigating and found other examples of the same glitches in our collective memory:

The Berenstain Bears: Many people (including me) remember this series of children's books being spelled "Berenstein" but it has always been spelled "Berenstain."
Many people recall learning that Eli Whitney, inventor of the cotton gin, was a black man. He was not - at least, not in this reality.
When asked how many states are in the U.S., some people believe the answer is 52.

And many more.

Is this evidence that we come from different, perhaps merged or altered, parallel universes? Or simply evidence that human memory is not infallible?

Was JonBenet Ramsey murdered as a sacrifice to the Illuminati?

So many strange theories

Twenty years has passed since JonBenet Ramsey was murdered, and we are still no closer to having a definitive answer than we were at the time.

A recent CBS investigation pointed the finger at JonBenet's brother, Burke, who was nine years old at the time of her death. Based on flimsy circumstantial evidence and a willful disregard for standards in data gathering, CBS concluded that Burke killed JonBenet in a rage after she ate some of the pineapple he had prepared as a secret midnight snack, by picking up a flashlight on the counter and bashing JonBenet in the back of the head. And that everything else which occurred - from the "ransom" letter to hiding the body - was the work of parents Patsy and John, trying to cover up Burke's murder.

An interesting theory, to be sure. Much of the evidence points to the  killer being a member of the household. Several analyses have concluded that the ransom note was written by Patsy. (And it certainly seems contrived - what kind of criminal leaves a ransom note when the subject is dead and stashed in the basement?) Thick snowfall that night did not reveal any footprints leading to the house, and the house's various alarms had not been tripped.

What if, instead of the impulsive actions of an angry nine year-old, JonBenet had been murdered as part of a Satanic sacrifice? This is the allegation of an unnamed internet source, which points out that JonBet is an Illuminati name for the devil. Could JonBenet's parents have slated her for sacrifice from her birth? It's possible, although Wikipedia points out that her name is "a feminized portmanteau of her father's first and middle names," John Bennet.

Apparently in the weeks before her death, JonBenet told her teachers and a few adult family friends that she was afraid of the frightening people who gathered around her in long black robes and sexually abused her. A strange thing for a young child to say, for sure. After JonBenet's murder, several of the girl's teachers and fellow church members went to the police to report these accusations, but the police dismissed the reports.

Speculation in some corners of the internet is that JonBenet's parents were pimping her out in a Satanic child abuse ring, and was then ritually murdered. Personally I doubt it, but I suppose that if we don't know the truth about this case by now, we probably never will.

CIA releases report on remote viewing of Jupiter

Mixed results, but fun history

It's no secret that in the 60s, 70s, and even into the 80s, the CIA spent a surprising amount of funding on a series of remote viewing projects.

Even so, it's startling to read a document detailing one such experiment, which took place in 1973 and involved renowned psychics Harold Sherman and Ingo Swann. The document was released this week as part of a CIA dump, wherein 12 million documents were declassified and released to the public.

The theory of remote viewing postulates that, by entering one sort of trance or another, subjects can send their consciousness out into the world and report back. This would naturally interest the CIA, due to its potential for invisibly spying on anything, anywhere, essentially for free.

Sadly, remote viewing never really panned out beyond the level of random chance and classic "cold reading" techniques.

Such seems to be the case with  Sherman and Swann, who were tasked with remote viewing the planet Jupiter, just ahead of the Pioneer 10 probe. Even today, it's surprising how little we know about Jupiter. However, we know that everything Swann and Sherman reported was either a well-established fact at the time, or was completely wrong.

Sherman, for example, reported that Jupiter's "cloud cover must be miles deep" and that a "huge red mass" moves across the face of Jupiter. Both of which were quite well known at the time. (Jupiter's red spot, one of its most distinguished features, was first identified in 1665 by the Italian astronomer Giovanni Cassini.)
